Home from work

We're both sick... I started with a really bad sore throat last night, but Connor started with a croupy, hacking cough on Friday, was waking up all night long congested. :( My poor baby!! He seems to get better throughout the day once he's awake & playing, but still... then I worked yesterday and contemplated calling in to stay home with him but decided to try it... dropped him off at daycare (alternate from my Mom's since they were on vacation) and he screamedddd for me, which is not like him.. he's very adjustable, easy-going.. stays fine, but he just wasn't feeling well and wanted Mommy... I cried & prayed on my drive to work. So today I called in and am staying home with him. It'll be better this way.. he'll have me all to himself. Please pray we both feel better soon, but mainly him.

Too funny!!!

Connor started with what is likely a cold :( A little bitty cough, runny nose... so this is the funny part. When he coughs, I say "Ohhhh, you got a cough..." He repeats "Cop!" for cough. hahahaha :) Makes me laugh everytime!

Soy Farts!

I switched Connor to soy milk about a week or so ago since he had a nasty week-long stomach bug that gave him diarrhea like you would not believe! So I figured soy is usually easier on the tummy so I'd try it. He had no problem with it. Only thing is now he has THE nastiest STINKYYYY farts I've ever smelled coming from such a little body! HAHAHAHA!! I mean, whoaaaaaa!! He laughs because I always go, "Whooooo, Connor! Stinky bufa!" Bufa is Portugese for fart, and he copies that proudly -- "Boo-Uh!" LOL! Hilarious!!

More pictures

So Mr. Connor is an inquisitive toddler, gets into things... sometimes pretty comical! haha! The first time was not too long after he first came home and he was very quiet so I went to check on him, walked through the house saying "Connor?" All I heard was a little squeal coming from the bathroom, so I walk in and saw his little feet sticking out of the tub, he had managed to climb into the tub HEAD FIRST and was doing an all-out handstand! I didn't get a picture of that hilarious scene, so I swore I'd begin getting funny pictures of him after I find him getting into something.
Yesterday he was quiet again (a Mom always knows their child is into something when they're perfectly quiet haha).. there he was sitting down, hand stuck in the baby wipes! hahahaha! Then he wasn't all too thrilled that he'd gotten it stuck and screamed for me to rescue his hand from this container. :)

Pics from outside, found a stick :)

Pictures

I just love these PJs on him... too cute! Says "Chicks Dig Me" hahaha :) He was sooooo tired tonight, plus he has a runny nose.. possibly the start of another cold... UGGHHH.. fun fun! Oh well.. he's doing fine though. There's one of him being cranky, tired... and then he got over it... haha... then just starting yesterday, he began talking on the phone! He'll now talk to me, my Mom and Tia (my sister). It's so funny!! Also I asked him to say Megan (Tia's name), btu he's always called her Tia... he said "May may!" hahaha! Cracks me up!

Here he is putting his own hat on! HAHA!! TOO CUTE!! He was so pleased, he kept it on loose & to the side... hehe :)

New Job!

I gave my 2-week notice at my current job, resigned after accepting a position full-time at a visiting nurse service, that is actually affiliated with the hospital I've worked at. I will start orientation on April 14th and my last day at the hospital will be April 17th. God opened this door wide open as I've been praying about changing jobs for a long while now, knowing & believing that He would open this door for the right job at the right time. The time has come to move on in my career and I have great peace with this. Staying in one place for 5 years, I became stagnant, needed a change, to learn & grow more as a nurse and personally -- to step out of my comfort zone. That is truly the only way to really grow is to make a change. I relate it to a few things.. one being the passage in Scripture talking about God calling you to gather up everything and just go when He calls. And the second is a song I absolutely love... it goes:

To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is
And He's holding out His hand
The giant's calling out my name
And he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before & failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time & time again
Boy, you'll never win
You'll never win

But the voice of truth
Tells me a different story
The voice fo truth
Says Do not be afraid
And the voice of truth
says this is for My glory
Out of all the voices
Calling out to me
I will choose to listen & believe
The voice of truth

Our first nice day last weekend!

This past weekend was beautiful!! So we spent alot of time outside playing in the yard, going for walks, riding his bike! I'm telling you... he got on his new tricycle and rode it like he's always ridden a bike! I was floored! He looks like such a little guy, but man does he ever catch onto things quickly and is so smart!
